Today we want to send out our appreciation for a Sponsor who has supported the Woof-a-Thon in the past and this year also. SEABROOK FOUNDATION awards grants to community projects and worthy enterprises in Grays Harbor County. For every home sold in Seabrook, a percentage of the sales price is put into a fund for these awards. They have helped countless groups achieve great things by giving a boost up with a monetary award. We are proud and grateful that they see the value in our event, with the money changing lives of animals, and thank SEABROOK very much for the vote of confidence. What a neighbor!

![]() As attendees can attest, our raffle at the Woof-a-thon event is amazing. We take donations of interesting, unique and valuable items during the year and gather them into raffle bundles and baskets you can then drop tickets into to win. Raffle tickets are purchased at our event to help us raise funds. Participants buy $5, $10 or more in raffle tickets, then they can drop any number of those tickets on any of the raffle items for chances to win. Later in the day we draw the raffle for each item and the lucky winners take them home to enjoy. This year we'll be focusing even more on baskets and groupings of themed items, such as entertainment packages, wine and cheese baskets, dog themed products and much much more. Collectables, practical items, and we're putting together more all the time. You won't want to miss it! Come out to the Woof-a-thon on August 15th at North Bay Park to join in the fun.
Applications were received and the board voted. Once again we have four chosen charities who will share in the proceeds of this year's fundraising equally. They are Harbor Rescue, PAWS of Grays Harbor, Ocean Shores Food Bank (for the animals) and North Beach PAWS. Congratulations to these very worthy organizations! We are proud to support their work in our community.
![]() Our annual garage sale raised the most money ever! Over $2000 was raised toward Woof-a-thon 2015! Thanks to all who donated and volunteered and shopped. Off street parking was appreciated by all. Traffic guides, rock and roll music and fun people all around. A huge special thanks to Judy Weber who shared her garage and who helped setup, organize and price all the items. We are grateful to all who helped. It's all for the animals! ![]() We're super excited to tell you that we have two Sponsors already, and more possibilities. Seabrook Foundation is in with a grant, and recently Harley Charitable Giving has joined the Sponsor page! We are so grateful for their support for needy animals in Grays Harbor. Forms went out today for charities to sign on again in sharing as a beneficiary of this years profit. All beneficiary application forms MUST be in by April 25 to be considered. Marketing will be starting then and we want to be able to include the beneficiaries in that communication. Once again, we will be marching in the Flag Day parade in June for the 3rd year. What a fun day! Please plan to bring your dog and join us. We will be handing out flyers for promotion of the event at that time. The big annual garage sale will be happening on Memorial Day and will be held at 401 Duck Lake Dr. We intend to have parking attendants to keep cars off Duck Lake Dr. If you have items you would like to donate, please call Judy Weber or just take them to her house. The more items - the more money for animals. W also need volunteers to help with that 2 day sale! We already have commitments on a few raffle items and baskets. Our raffle is a big part of the day, and baskets seem to draw the most tickets, so think of a theme and go with it. It's always fun to see what ideas a theme will inspire. Other unique single items are also very appreciated. Please call Wilma 289-2553 with items you may want to donate. We have lots of returning volunteers, but can always use more, and if you wish to take a larger part of the pre-day planning, please call Wilma to get going. We need you!! It's all starting to take shape. Remember the date this year is August 15 at North Bay Park - Mark your calendar! ![]() Please help us thank our new SPONSOR! Raintree Vet Center in Hoquium WA just joined our honored sponsor family. You can thank them for their support on their facebook page at facebook.com/raintreevet, or visit their website for more information at http://raintreevetcenter.com/. For a list of ALL our donors and sponsors, visit the Sponsor's page on our website. Post title 07/06/2014 change
