"The spay/neuter clinic on Saturday, 9/28, was a great success. A total of 40 animals were "fixed," 8 dog spays, 5 dog neuters, 11 cat spays and 16 cat neuters. Dr. Steele and her staff did their usual great job. About 7 volunteers helped in many ways, in recovery, helping to prep and transport animals to and from the surgery. It takes 2 men to carry the sleeping big dogs back to recovery. We can always use more volunteers. North Beach PAWS provided rabies and vaccines, flea medicines and some of the pain meds. Dog pain meds were provided by a private donor. This is a great service to our community, enabling us to hopefully reduce the population of unwanted pets."
